The Tux Jacket
Channeling the Gentleman in Us All
And just like a trusty friend, we came across ultra-fab sets on polyvore. featuring the Wing Collar Cropped Tux by Jaeger London. Retailing at $370 smackeroos, this beige cropped jacket, is well worth every penny.
With ultra-trendy celebs sporting the tuxedo jacket with boyfriend jeans, or oversized t’s– without a doubt we’ve all seen the versatility of this trend.
But like many others, this garmet came by way of our good friends in the UK. The Tuxedo came into the fashion scene, or whatever it was called in the 19th century, when Henry Poole & Co. created a short smoking jacket for the then Prince of Wales.

Harem Pant Resurrected
Sanskrit, blue jeans, Chess, all originated in India. And , yes my dear, so the praise continues as the harem pant, reigns this season’s runways, as to have originated in India.
The pant made its way back into the scene during the mid ’80s via our dear friend and local MC Hammer. Yes, Hammer time. If you are old enough to remember MC Hammer’s gawd awful purple sequin pants in the “2-Legit to Quit” video, then you have an idea what we’re talking about here. And you’re awfully old.
Harem pants are described as a baggy pant tapered at the ankle, with side flaps on the hip that buttoned at the waist area. They’re often described as a cross between a skirt and a pair of skinny jeans. The legs, from the knees down, are fitted. The crotch area is loose and baggy as if it were cut to be a skirt.
That is by far, the most confusing description of a garment we have ever heard of. Sounds kind of ugly right. Sounds like a hybrid animal in the fashion kingdom… you know kind of like the cousin of the skort. Its a pair of shorts, a skirt… no its a skort.
The fantastic users of Polyvore came up with some pretty awesome ways to wear ’em, so check it out.
