So of course, we are pinning along on Pinterest, minding our own business when, all of a sudden we pin, pin and look at our feed. Within seconds we had pined a black and white horizontal striped chair, and separately pinned a photo of a trendy weekend look, featuring a gal wearing… you guessed it… a horizontal striped shirt.
What’s up with that? Are we secretly obsessed with this look?
A came across a website that does exactly this sort of thing. It translates decorated rooms into a complete outfits with the same exact look and feel.
Inspired to Share also did it below.
And a Newfound Treasure did it too…
It’s not just baby season in Hollywood. Yesterday we reported our fashion fav mom Victoria Beckham gave birth, and today its bohemian goddess, Kate Hudson. Congrats Kate, on your baby boy!
Kate’s soft mermaid- whimsical like style has been a fan favorite of RT for a while now. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite Kate Hudson style choices.
“Being a Mommy doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your own personal style. Wear pumps, and little black dresses to the supermarket with your 3 kids”- RT
We love fashionable mommies! In fact, we’ve covered the amazing fashion of our fav posh mommy Victoria Beckham. Today we are overjoyed to congratulate her on baby # 4!! Lets hear what our editor, has to say about Maternity/ Fashion when you’re a mommy of multiples.
Like Victoria, our very own Briana Iwuji, is a bussines savvy mom, and soon to be mother of three.
RT: What’s the secret to getting the Victoria Beckham style?
BI: I think its all about confidence, and of course adding professional pieces to your wardrobe.
RT: Do you have style advice for moms or soon to be moms?
BI: One thing I’m not going to advocate is for moms to wear baggy or “comfy” clothes once they make the plunge into motherhood.
I think as moms, we sacrifice alot for others. The key to maintining that Beckham style after your little ones are born is to just stay true to yourself. Follow fashion trends and blogs, but that does not mean that you have to follow them. Adjust trends to meet your personal style and everyday life.
RT: What happens to mom’s fashion when there’s multiples involved?
BI: Its just a factor of time really. The best advice I can give is for mom to learn how to plan and manage her time wisely. Dressing up is supposed to be fun in every stage of a woman’s life.
Google announced, the launch of their fashion website Boutiques.com. The website allows shoppers to create profiles of their personal style, likes and dislikes. The site then categorizes each shopper’s style based on these results.
If you are wondering where and how a site like this could be of interest to Google, it’s probably because Boutiques.com uses the same smart algorithms as Google to enrich SEO. For instance, a shopper can scroll though “boutiques” of other users, and “like” articles of clothing within a collection. This information is used to create and predict shoppers preferences, to suggest items of clothing they might be interested in from retailers from around the world.
The website also creates a collection of inspiration looks to support each clothing category. If you are searching for skinny jeans, the site will gather inspiration looks from sites like lookbook.nu, polyvore, and weardrobe.com to help you find the perfect look.
This site is nothing less than the Google equivalent to the uber fashionista. Leave a comment below– is this new Google site a “like” or a major “dislike”?
Hey Big Trender:
She’s got sass and pizzazz–chutzpah and “what-nots”. Her style epitomizes all that is vintage and trendy, using unprecedented pieces to construct her “on the cusp” Polyvore Sets. Her signiture style habitually includes unconventional amounts of lush bangle bracelets and howlingly gaudy make-up options.
The texture and color palettes in her sets are jaw- dropping. Her soft feather edge, and her rough vintage jacket, in this set, are perfect dichotomies of one another.
HeyBigTrender… keep on trendin’
She’s rockin those styles like…
We’re all in agreement here, that Rihanna’s super sexy styles have surpassed the average 21 year old pop star in Hollywood right now. Rockin torn acid wash jeans with Christian Louboutin shoes, makes this maven eye catching. Her beauty–her soft flawless skin, with neutral eye makeup and pop-red lipstick give her classic look pizzaz.
Short styles, were so a thing of the 80s and early 90s, but with this twenty something rocking it short, its no wonder fashionistas everywhere are becoming one with the scissors this season.
If you have a mini mouse complex– this trend isnt for you. Seen on the runway of Louis Vuitton and Betsy Johnson, is the hair bow. Once loved by the “tea party” in all of us, this trend has, like many others, resurfaced. Not just your typical hair bow, but all sizes from medium to super large, almost cartoon like bows are in this fall’s collections. Sport them either at the top of your head, or shifted to the side, to accent your neon blue leggings this fall.
